Email hosting
We’re not specialist email hosts, but we include up email accounts with any care plan with standard mail volumes (under 200 emails a day). For higher volumes, we recommend Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. If you only need email without a website: $10/month for up to three addresses.

Keyword analysis
A one-off analysis to find realistic keywords to rank your website in Google and other search engines. Available to NZ businesses only. $250 for up to 100 keywords and phrases.
GEO and SEO Services
Want to show up when people search, whether that’s on Google or AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity? We can add GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and SEO work on top of any care plan. All prices are in NZ dollars and exclude GST.
All website care plans require a monthly subscription using a credit or debit card. Business Class and above plans can be invoiced annually on request. All plans are for a minimum of one month and can be cancelled at any time.
* We don’t want you worrying about your site going offline during a successful campaign. That said, we reserve the right to suspend an account if a site becomes a resource drain on shared hosting. We’ll always talk to you first.
We need to assess your current site before taking it on. We’ll need access to your WordPress admin panel to do this.

What is a website care plan?
A website care plan is an ongoing service that keeps your WordPress website running properly. It typically includes hosting, security monitoring, backups and software updates. Dear John care plans also include a regular performance check, and Business Class and above plans include a monthly report on your site’s traffic and search engine rankings.
Do your website care plans include hosting?
Yes. Hosting is included in all three plans. You don’t need a separate hosting account.
What does website maintenance include?
Website maintenance covers keeping your WordPress core, themes and plugins up to date, running regular security checks, making backups, and monitoring your site’s performance. The Business Class and Marketing Pro plans also include keyword tracking and a monthly Website Care Report.
Do you offer website support in Wellington?
Yes. Dear John is based in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast and works with small businesses across the Wellington region and throughout New Zealand. All support is handled remotely.
Can I cancel my care plan?
Yes. All plans are month-to-month with no lock-in contract. You can cancel at any time.
What if I already have a WordPress website?
We can take on existing WordPress websites. We’ll need to assess your site first, just get in touch and we’ll sort out access.
What’s the difference between Business Class and Marketing Pro?
The main difference is priority support time. Marketing Pro includes up to one hour a month of hands-on help — updating stock, adding content, finding images, whatever you need. Business Class covers maintenance and reporting but doesn’t include that hands-on time.
Do your care plans include email hosting?
Yes, email accounts are included with any care plan, as long as your mail volume is under 200 emails a day. If you need more capacity, we’d point you towards Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. If you only need email without a website, that’s $10/month for up to three addresses.
Can I add GEO or SEO to my care plan?
Yes. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and SEO work can be added to any Dear John care plan. GEO is the practice of structuring your website so AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews can find and cite your business — alongside traditional SEO for Google rankings. Yes. All Dear John care plans include website hosting. We’re based in Paraparaumu and look after websites for businesses on the Kapiti Coast, Wellington, and across New Zealand.
